Résumé

A refrigerating system using an electronic expansion valve can achieve a higher COP under transient conditions and a better control for superheat under steady-state conditions in comparison to a TXV system. In this study, TXV was replaced by EEV for improving responsiveness in the refrigerating system of a refrigerated truck using R404A. The system performance was analyzed with outdoor temperature, indoor temperature, front air velocity and compressor speed as parameters. The system performance of using EEV compared with the system performance of using TXV confirms the system performance difference. As a result, through a refrigerant charging experiment, the optimal refrigerant charge amount for TXV and EEV systems was determined to be 1700 g. Besides, the EEV system can maintain the high performance for a wide range of operating conditions compared to the TXV system. Correlation were derived by using experimental results in relation to mass flow rate and maximum COP at the optimal EEV opening for a given compressor speed.
