Résumé

Presents and discusses the results of monitoring of a bank air conditioning system with ice storage. The measured data differ markedly from design expectations. Points out that effective reduction of electricity costs in air conditioned buildings by using cool storage installations is strictly dependent on optimal management and detailed prediction of the real operating conditions of the plant when designing the installation. The numerous factors which determine the final result make this difficult to achieve.
