Résumé

With the increasing of the environmental concerns, carbon dioxide (CO2) as an alternative refrigerant has been investigated intensively. In this study, the heating performance of a transcritical CO2 heat pump system with a twin rotary compressor was investigated. The transcritical CO2 heat pump with gas injection was tested by varying gas injection ratio and outdoor temperature at the optimum refrigerant charge of 6400 g, compressor frequency of 40 Hz, and first and second EEV openings of 6 and 6%. The heating capacity ratio and COP ratio increased with the increase of the gas injection ratio at all outdoor temperatures due to the increase of the total mass flow rate. The heating performance of the transcritical CO2 heat pump with gas injection was improved at low outdoor temperature. The heating capacity and COP ratio of the system with gas injection were improved by 45 and 24%, respectively, over the non-injection system at the outdoor temperature of -8°C.
