Résumé

In this work, a constant pressure mixing model for the ejector was established to perform the thermodynamic analysis of the transcritical CO2 heat pump water heater system. The design parameters of system components were obtained by applying the conservation equations for mass, momentum, and energy. The design process of the system components was described briefly. The objective of the paper is to evaluate the performance of the transcritical CO2 heat pump water heater system and to verify the reasonable of ejector design for the latter period of the experiment. Experiments were analyzed to assess the effects on system performance as a result of changes in water temperature at gas-cooler inlet, compared to systems with and without an internal heat exchanger (IHX). The results indicate that the utilization of an IHX in the ejector system yield a 16% of COP higher than that without an IHX.
