Etude sur la performance d'un système à pompe à chaleur chimique/thermique couplé utilisant l'énergie solaire.

Performance study of the coupled solar thermal-chemical heat pump system.

Résumé

This study investigated two alternative chemical heat pump designs: a combined solid adsorption system with solar water heating system and a combined solid-gas adsorption system with a solar oil heating system. A series of experiments were carried out on the combined solid adsorption system with solar water heating system. It was found that the low temperature level of the flat plate solar water heater (35-64 °C) could be upgraded to the higher level (80-110 °C) by the adsorption heat pump. The heating COP of the heat pump was between 1.34-1.66 depending on supplied water temperature. The power production for heating was about 1.28-1.50. Numerical simulations of a hotel using such a system were also studied in order to predict the system's seasonal performance. Simulations were also used to evaluate the combined solid-gas adsorption system with solar oil heating system, using ammonia as the working fluid. It was found that a higher number of cycles with shorter cycle time gave a higher COP for this system.
