Résumé

The goal of this study is to examine the possibilities of using some functionality test standards in field to commissioning an operating air handling unit of a central air conditioning system. Procedures and instrumentation far measuring air volume and heat exchange were established and tried out. The feasibility and difficulty in carrying out these tests in field are exemplified by some observation from the tests of up to twenty air handling units covering the scopes of comfort and process air conditioning systems. Air handling unit is one of the major equipment which consumes lots of energy in an air-conditioning system. Unfortunately, due to its bulky volume, laboratory test is constrained to a relative small capacity. Current work could in partial make up the deficiency of lacking a field test standard in this industry.
