Résumé

Discharge pulsation represents a very important parameter of the refrigeration compressor that significantly affects noise of the whole refrigeration system. Pulsation energy transferred from the compressor can cause structural resonances of the mechanical parts in the appliance and consequently emission of high noise levels. Special focus on the compressors with variable speed is necessary due to changing of the excitation over the compressor speed range. This paper shows experimental investigation in pulsation to understand characteristics of the light commercial reciprocating variable speed compressor in the aim of avoiding noise problems in the application. Analysis showed increasing of pressure in the cylinder head with running speed of the compressor that is correlated with shortening time when the discharge valve is being opened. Frequency analysis showed very good attenuation of the discharge muffler in spectrum above 315 Hz with consistent characteristics over the speed range. This behaviour represents low risk of occurrence structural vibrations in the appliance.
