Résumé

The single-stage Linde-Hampson refrigeration system (LHRS) manifests a promising prospective as a cooling approach to produce cooling temperatures below -40 ℃, which is in great demand in commercial refrigeration. To explore the technical alternatives of refrigerant substitution and to analyse the application of low-GWP refrigerant in LHRS, the change of operation parameters was studied by thermodynamic analysis. Four alternative blends, namely the R1234yf/R1132a, R1234yf/R170, R1234yf/R41 and R1234yf/R744, were chosen as the working fluids. The evaporating temperature, cooling capacity, coefficient of performance, exergy loss and exergy efficiency were selected as the objective functions to evaluate the system performance under variable composition and minimum temperature difference of the recuperator. Simulation and comparative study show that better energy and exergy performances were obtained by using the R1234yf/R1132a mixture, which can be recommended as a priority. The results provide a basic theoretical analysis of the selection and replacement of refrigerant in LHRS.
