Résumé
Due to the progressive phase down of fluorinated greenhouses gases prescribed by the F-gas Regulation and the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, hydrofluoroolefins blends (HFO) have taken a central role as low-GWP and low-ODP substitutes to hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) in HVAC&R and organic Rankine cycle (ORC) applications. In this area, the azeotropic olefin blend R514A, composed of cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobut-2-ene (R-1336mzz(Z)) and trans-1,2-dichloroethene (R-1130(E)), has recently raised interest as a potential non-flammable, low GWP refrigerant to be used in applications such as industrial high temperature heat pumps, Organic Rankine Cycles (ORC), and centrifugal chillers. However, while R1336mmz(Z) has already been extensively investigated, thermophysical properties of R1130(E) remain almost unstudied; to date, only one set of compressed liquid density data and vapour pressure data is available in the peer-reviewed literature: to compensate for this lack of information on R1130(E), the present paper provides 36 vapor-pressure data for temperatures ranging from 283.15 K to 353.15 K and 79 experimental compressed liquid density data in a range of temperatures and pressures varying from 283.15 K to 423.15 K and from close to saturation pressure up to 35 MPa, respectively. Vapour pressure data were obtained by means of a vapor−liquid equilibrium (VLE) apparatus, while compressed liquid density data were measured by means of a vibrating tube densimeter, both at isothermal conditions. Results where then regressed using dedicated equations. Correlated results showed a good agreement with experimental data.
