Résumé

A rig was established to test the performance of a cross-flow dehumidifier, and a crossflow packed tower with Celdek structured packing and lithium chloride were adopted in the rig. Moisture removal rate and dehumidification effectiveness were regarded as the evolution criteria of the mass transfer performance, and the effects of air and solution inlet parameters on the mass transfer performance were experimentally studied. A new empirical correlation was developed for the crossflow dehumidification effectiveness on the basis of the experimental data. The comparison between our experimental results and the data available in literature shows that, under our experimental condition, counterflow dehumidification has higher mass transfer performance than cross-flow dehumidification with LiCl solution; LiCl solution generates higher mass transfer performance than LiBr solution and CaCl2 solution in crossflow dehumidification.
