Résumé

Denmark has a 10 kg limit on HFC charges in refrigeration systems and a tax on F-gases. Natural refrigerants are now standard in all new refrigeration equipment above a certain capacity. CO2 (transcritical) is now standard in supermarket refrigeration, ammonia is standard in big chillers and in industrial refrigeration systems, hydrocarbons are standard in medium-sized chillers and hydrocarbons (R290 and R600a) are standard in commercial stand-alone units. Several companies have been very successful in developing, marketing and manufacturing refrigeration equipment with natural refrigerants and this paper describes cases with successful implementation of refrigeration products with natural refrigerants, the financial impact and the impact on energy efficiency. The consumption of F-gases has been reduced by almost 2/3.
