Résumé

Forced convection cooling may become necessary for a superconducting magnet to realize a high magnetic field required. A new experimental apparatus for forced flow heat transfer of pressurized He II is developed. Critical heat flux (CHF) has been measured as a function of the flow velocities ranging from 0 to 1.34 m/s and for the inlet liquid temperatures of 1.8, 1.9, 2.0 and 2.1 K. The CHFs reached about 2.2 times of those for 0 velocity at the maximum flow velocity of 1.34 m/s, independently of the inlet liquid temperature. Temperature distribution along the duct has been measured by using ruthenium oxide sensors.
