Résumé

After the serious arguments between refrigerating fluid manufacturers and associations for environment protection, Act No. 179 of June 16th, 1997 has been brought in to amend Act No. 549 of 1993. This article explains the Act's main objectives, highlighting the issues that are left to secondary legislation, i.e. to Ministerial Decrees and regulations, as well as those that are to be solved by means of plan agreements. The article then goes on to deal with other problems, such as the worrisome one of the illegal CFC market. Finally, EU trends are examined so as to have a look at the future development of this complicated matter.
