Générateur de coulis de glace à injection directe.

Direct injection ice slurry generator.

Auteurs : VUARNOZ D., SLETTA J., SARI O., et al.

Résumé

This research work on the authors' first test set-up for ice slurry generation by direct injection of a refrigerant into water has demonstrated clear advantages in favour of this method. In the evaporation chamber, the injected refrigerant expands and evaporates at constant pressure and constant temperature (lower than 0 °C). The evaporation chamber, which is supplied with a constant flow of the refrigerant, is therefore the main investigation domains presented in this paper. The authors have compared measurements obtained with the initial prototype together with results issued from the authors' optimised prototype. The interpretations of this comparison together with the thermodynamic cycles of the system help to understand how to optimise the process of ice creation by an expanding jet of refrigerant in a column of water. Other practical aspects like the compressor, the injection nozzle etc. are also discussed.
