Influence de l'eau sur le processus de refroidissement de cycles frigorifiques au CO2.

Inluence of water on the process of CO2 refrigeration cycles.

Résumé

Water can get into the refrigerant cycle due to pressure test, filling procedure or lubricating oil. This water dissolves in carbon dioxide as well as accumulates in specific parts of the plant and thus leads to degradation of operation performance. Beside effects on operation performance material incompatibilities can also occur. In order to investigate these influences on the process of CO2 refrigeration cycles a pilot plant has been rebuilt and equipped with several measuring systems. In following experiments water has been introduced and removed systematically to determine limiting concentration of water to avoid hydrate formation and to analyze heat transfer I n the evaporator. Besides these experiments at the pilot plant several metallic materials, such as aluminum, copper, steel, and several sealing compounds, such as EPDM, HNBR, FKM, have been exposed to moist carbon dioxide and lubricant oil under simulated conditions of a refrigerating plant.
