Résumé

The development of cryogenic hydrodynamics has been triggered in recent years by the implementation of experiments using helium around 4 K. This gives a unique opportunity in hydrodynamics to operate in fixed geometry on a very large range of control parameters up to the highest values realized in a laboratory environment. The paper discusses the corresponding instrumentation such as micronic anemometers and thermometers operating from direct-current to about 1 megahertz and specially designed thermocouple techniques.
