Intégration des processus et ciblage du travail de plusieurs pompes à chaleur à l'aide de la programmation mathématique.

Process integration and work targeting of multiple heat pumps using mathematical programming.

Résumé

This paper applies heat cascade analysis from pinch analysis to create a practical multi-heat pump targeting method using mathematical programming. The inclusion of heat pumping in the cascade enables it to overcome the thermodynamic pinch constraints. The model is simplified to a mixed-integer linear programming model. Using a milk evaporator case study, the paper explores the trade-off between the number of ideal heat pump units and the required total heat pump work target for achieving full and partial process electrification. The results show that as the number of heat pumps increases, the total work target initially decreases substantially; however, after integrating five heat pumps, the marginal benefit is low. Future work will look at converting targets into a complete heat pump and heat exchanger network design method and improving the accuracy of the work targets for different types of heat pumps.
