Type d'article : Article de périodique

Résumé

Traces the development of the Swedish building regulations system to the late 1980s when some 18,000 pages of codes and standards were in use. It was concluded that this approach was not working given the great increase in sick building syndrome and the decision was taken to deregulate. The article describes how this approach has been translated into practice over the last three years, including the production of guidance material for building professionals.
