Résumé

This article examines the factors that influence energy use in air handling units in office buildings, and proposes several energy efficient ways to provide good indoor comfort conditions. The authors consider how a mechanical ventilation system combined with passive night cooling using natural ventilation, may be a more efficient and effective way of providing good indoor air and an energy efficient method of conditioning the indoor environment.
