Les opportunités pour relier le cycle Rankine au HFC-245fa organique aux systèmes distribués générateurs d'électricité.

Opportunities for HFC-245fa organic Rankine cycle appended to distributed power generation systems.

Résumé

Coupling electrical energy demand and thermal demand is a large part of the attraction of combined heat and power (CHP) systems because of the increased overall system efficiency. Recovery and use of the waste heat from these systems can provide additional electrical output thus boosting overall efficiency and reducing the ratio of emissions/k produced. This can be accomplished using an organic Rankine cycle system. This approach offers flexibility since the additional electrical output can be used in many ways, eliminating the associated expense and engineering required to use this heat in methods that require site-specific design. The availability of a working fluid with appropriate thermophysical properties is an important aspect affecting the efficiency of the organic Rankine cycle. The paper describes the properties of HCF-245fa and discusses its potential application in distributed power generation. The recent commercial availability of Refrigeration Grade HFC-245fa meeting Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute Standard 700 has provided a viable option for flexible, efficient waste heat conversion in distributed power generation.
