Résumé

The paper describes a survey on the successful market introduction of ammonia "CO2 refrigeration systems on the Dutch market". Within one year, fifteen systems were constructed. Important contributions to the success are: Dutch environmental legislation, funding of the government and the successful operation of the first systems.
