Lubrifiants dans les installations frigorifiques et de conditionnement d'air : aspects actuels et futurs.

Lubricants in refrigeration and air conditioning systems: present and future aspects.

Résumé

In vapour compression systems for refrigeration and air conditioning applications the oil, which is essential for lubrication purposes in the compressor, is in direct contact with the refrigerant. For the construction and design of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, it is necessary to know the behaviour of the oil and refrigerant as well as the oil/refrigerant mixture. Important criteria for selecting the oil are e.g. evaporation temperature, system type and dimension, and the refrigerant itself. With regard to the oil behaviour, there are vast differences between both the former CFC refrigerants and their alternatives, as well as between the alternatives themselves. In this paper, the present status of the application and some new aspects of future investigations and tendencies of lubricants in vapour compression systems for the above-mentioned refrigerants will be presented.
