Résumé

The isochoric specific heat capacity for a binary mixture of methane and carbon dioxide is measured using an adiabatic calorimeter by intermittent heating. A total of 22 data points over the temperature range from 226 K to 266 K and pressure range from 14 MPa to 20 MPa are obtained for subcooled liquid with a mole fraction of 0.126/0.874 (CH4/CO2). The standard uncertainties are estimated to be 12 mK for temperature, 5000 Pa for pressure and 1.2 % for heat capacity, respectively. The Peng-Robinson (PR) model, the Redlich-Kwong (RK) model and the GERG-08 model are compared and evaluated against the experimental heat capacity data. The results indicates that the experiment data agree with all these models well, with an average absolute relative deviation (AARD) <6 %. It is surprised to find that the PR model has the highest prediction accuracy with an AARD of 1.95 %, which is even higher than the GERG-08 model.
