Mesures de la viscosité des mélanges binaires R454B et R454C dans des conditions de basse température.

Viscosity measurements of binary mixtures R-454B and R-454C at low temperature condition.

Résumé

The viscosity of refrigerant is indeed crucial for the design and optimization of refrigeration systems. In this study, the viscosity characteristics of two potential binary refrigerant mixtures, R-454B and R-454C, which have gained interest as low global warming potential (GWP) alternatives to high-GWP refrigerants were measured by using tandem the capillary tubes method. The experimentally measured viscosity values are presented for two fluids in the liquid phase over broad temperature range of -40°C to 40°C. Additionally, for R-454B in the vapor phase, viscosity measurements are reported at 40°C. The extended uncertainty in measuring viscosity was calculated to be less than 3.0%. The difference between experimental value and REFPROP version 10.0 was the maximum -4.05% and the average absolute deviation (AAD) was -2.87%. This study contributes to the understanding of the thermophysical properties of R-454B and R-454C, which will assist in the selection and design of ecologically friendly refrigeration systems.
