Modélisation d'un système de refroidissement d'un moteur automobile par circuit secondaire.
Modelling of an automotive engine cooling system by refrigeration loop.

Résumé
A cooling system based on a refrigeration loop at high evaporating temperature is proposed; the advantages and disadvantages are discussed. The low pressure ratio is above air promising for good COP, while working at high condensing temperatures presents some specific difficulties. The proposed modelling approach of the system is modular: the compressor is modelled by a simple and physicalmodel that takes into account the heat transfers and the un-matching of internal and external pressure ratio, the evaporator is modelled as a two-zone heat exchanger on the refrigeration side (one for the two phase zone and the other one for superheated gas) and finally the condenser is assumed to be divided into three zones (for desuperheating, two-phase and the sub-cooling). Pressure losses and heat gains on the lines are also taken into account. The model parameters have been identified from experimental results obtained on each component separately. The whole loop has also been tested and the model validated from theses results. It shows obviously the highest COP at lowest temperature and highest velocity at condenser air supply. The model is able to predict the COP within plus or minus 6%.
