Modélisation de la performance énergétique d'un système de refroidissement solaire à absorption.

Modelling of the energy performance of a solar cooling system based on absorption.

Résumé

The high internal heat gains cause the need of air conditioning in office building. Currently used cooling systems employ vapour compression chillers, which use electricity as a driven energy causing black out problems and high emission of CO2. The fact that the highest building chilling requirements occur in the time when high solar energy is available motivates the development of solar air conditioning as an interesting option to reduce buildings' environmental impact. The model of solar absorption chiller for 800 m2 office building in Lyon has been developed using TRNSYS software. For the system employing a 35 kW hot water fired absorption chiller with evacuated tube solar collector area 126 m2 and hot water storage tank volume 20 m3, nearly 74% of primary energy can be saved. Moreover an original controller of the hot water temperature is proposed, enabling substantial savings of auxiliary heater energy.
