Modélisation des équilibres de phase et de la viscosité pour les systèmes à frigorigène - lubrifiant.

Modelling phase equilibria and viscosity for refrigerant-lubricant oil systems.

Résumé

Thermophysical properties and phase behaviour of refrigerant-lubricant oil mixtures is highly important for optimal design of refrigeration systems. Refrigerant-lubricant mixtures may develop complex type of phase behaviour that must be taken into account in the design of cooling circuits and the lubricant selection. Such behaviour may include high-pressure liquid-liquid immiscibility regions and barotropic phenomena showing mass density inversions. In this paper, the phase and viscosity behaviour of mixtures containing environmentally friendly refrigerants (HFC-134a, HFC-125) and lubricant polyalkylene glycols (PAGs) or polyol esters are described. For that purpose, the Peng-Robinson (PR) equation of state has been used to model the phase behaviour of the studied refrigerant-lubricant mixtures. In addition, PR equation of state based friction theory models have also been used to model the viscosity behaviour of refrigerant-lubricant mixtures containing PAGs. All results of the calculations are compared against published experimental data.
