Modélisation mathématique des paramètres thermodynamiques d'un système de traitement d'hélium.

Mathematical modelling of the thermodynamic parameters of a helium processing plant.

Auteurs : GHERGHINESCU S.

Résumé

This paper proposes several analyses and control models of a helium liquefaction plant. A routine was written in LabView based on the experimental data. The monitored functional parameters of a cryogenic plant are temperature and pressure; based on these, enthalpy and entropy can be then easily derived. These will provide the feedback for the control loop which will control the entire plant. The main objective of this paper is to develop a method to optimize the cryogenic cycle. The optimization would determine the working regimes (temperature, pressure, flow, power consumption, etc.) and ultimately the choice of equipment. The new contribution of the present work consists in the fact that the software is easy to use, provides real time response and convenient accessibility. This can be done by calculating the enthalpy and entropy by a simplified method based on two-variable function. In further work, the proposed routine can be integrated in almost all calculating programs such as Excel or even with simple pocket calculator. The results of the routine are interesting when analyzing different cryogenic cycles. The thermodynamic parameters, entropy and enthalpy, are obtained by a new and simplified method.
