Japanese translation of the "13th Informatory Note" published by the IIR (see IIR Bulletin ref. 98-0816). This note examines current safety standards and the logic behind them: classification of flammable refrigerants; use of flammable refrigerants; reducing leakage; precluding leaked refrigerants from achieving a flammable concentration; varying levels of added safety features based on the size of the charge; eliminating ignition sources; limit exposure to damage or injury.
