Résumé

This paper aims at introducing the latest European initiatives of the Climate Action package on the Promotion of the Use of Energy from Renewable Sources, and the Energy Performance of Building Directive Recast launched at the end of 2008. These two initiatives are positioning the building sector as the key actor of the energy and environmental policy in Europe. After presenting the main elements of the energy policy development in Europe, the author introduces these two main actions and the latest accompanying measures.
