Résumé

The recovery of the otherwise flared offshore natural gas by means of LNG is drawing more and more attention. However, offshore natural gas liquefaction faces many challenges, such as very limited space on the offshore platform. This paper proposed a natural gas pressurized liquefaction process integrated with CO2 cryogenic removal to realize smaller footprint. To minimize energy consumption, the composition, the flow rate, the high and low pressure in mixed refrigerant cycle is optimized by sequential search method with the help of Aspen HYSYS. Moreover, the relationship between optimal MR composition and the feed gas composition, the high and the low pressure is investigated. In addition, comparison study between the proposed process and conventional C3MR process shows that the process is very suitable for offshore natural gas liquefaction for it is more spacing-saving and energy-saving.
