Résumé

The steady-state model and dynamic model of the automotive air-conditioning (AAC) system with a variable displacement compressor (VDC) was introduced. The simulation results for steady-state performance show that there is a performance band due to the frictional forces between the moving components of a VDC, which brings a multiple to one relationship for system parameters. The influence of the compressor rotary speed, air temperature at the condenser inlet, and air flow rate through the evaporator on the performance band was simulated. The conservative stable region (CSR) which was proposed from the measured hunting phenomena caused by the large external disturbance was introduced, and CSRs caused by the sudden change of vehicle speed or air flow rate through the evaporator were simulated. The simulation results indicate that the size of CSR is influenced by the direction and amplitude of external disturbance and the initial system state. Both the performance band and CSR play an important role on the designing of an AAC system with a VDC.
