Performance technique et économique d'une pompe à chaleur aérothermique pour l'approvisionnement en chaleur d'un bâtiment avec un stockage thermique à MCP avancé.

Technical and economic performance of air-source heat pump for building heat supply with advanced pcm thermal storage.

Résumé

Electricity required by heat pumps adds burden to the electricity grid during the peak heat demand and increases the costs of consumers. This is a significant barrier to the wider use of heat pumps to replace the current fossil fuelled boilers in buildings. Along with the heat pump, thermal storage has been widely used for incorporating intermittent, non-dispatchable renewable energy supplies. However, it is challenging to optimize air source heat pump (ASHP) operation economically with improved integrated thermal storage capacity for the underfloor floor structure which assists in maintaining indoor thermal comfort. In this work, composite Phase Change Material (PCM) with expanded graphite mixed with copper powder is used as thermal mass for the underfloor heating structure, which is driven by the ASHP. The performance of the space heating and hot water supply through the ASHP has been controlled by the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). A detailed analysis with the system performance provides insightful information for integrating thermal storage for underfloor heating with ASHP under optimised operations.
