Résumé
Today, the trend of displacing HFC refrigerants and substituting them with natural refrigerants is very important. For this reason, comes back the old refrigerant carbon dioxide, which has suitable thermodynamics properties and smaller influence to the environment. Using carbon dioxide in transcritical cooling systems and searching of its new features is therefore subject of many scientific researches and articles. One of the most important components of these systems is the compressor, which has to be designed to resist high temperatures and pressure. And piston compressor as a component of the carbon dioxide cooling circuit is the main topic of this article. Specifically, pressure losses in the discharge side of compressor. There are many areas in the compressor, where the pressure losses can accrue. In this article, pressure losses of the valve plate in the discharge side of compressor are studied. First, pressure losses through the valve plate will be measured at three different conditions of valve lift and four pressure levels. Then CFD simulation based on the measured data will be used to show the pressure losses in the discharge channels of valve plate and influence of changing the valve lift to pressure losses will be compared.
