Pompe à chaleur à absorption : du système monoétagé au système GAX.

Absorption heat pump: from single-stage to GAX.

Résumé

Experimental as well as theoretical investigations of a single-stage gas-driven ammonia/water absorption heat pump with a heating capacity of about 10 kW have been carried out. The reasons of an unexpected decline of the performance have been identified. Several improvements have been made. Another barrier of this unit is the limitation to gas as drive energy. This led to the approach of an indirectly heated desorber, where the heat can be produced by gas, oil, or by biomass, for the cooling mode solar thermal energy can be used. Advanced absorption systems use the GAX and the branched GAX cycle. The heating COP of the simple GAX cycle can become 1.9, which is about 30% higher than that of the basic single-stage unit. For the branched GAX cycle, the heating COP has an optimum when the split mass rate makes the available heat equal to the required heat. Investigations showed that the simple GAX-cycle is an excellent solution for the planned application with a small temperature lift.
