Prévision des caractéristiques de fonctionnement d'un système de régulation de température modifié en mode chauffage.

Predicting the operating characteristics of a modified temperature control unit in heat mode.

Auteurs : RADULESCU C., LOHAN J.

Résumé

The need for optimized heating performance obtained based on reduced test time heightens the importance for new modelling and simulation tools capable of predicting not only the existing standard transport temperature control (TTC) unit behaviour in heating, but also to predict system response ahead of implementing design changes. This paper sought to address this need by presenting the first mathematical model capable of capturing system performance in heat mode of a modified TTC unit using engine coolant as a secondary working fluid to boost the heating capability of the system. The predicted results show a 46% increase in heating capacity and a 26% higher system efficiency. These are significant improvements that could be obtained with small design changes and low implementation costs.
