Résumé
These two volumes include the Proceedings of the 1997 Cryogenic Engineering Conference (CEC), held July 28-August 1, in Portland, Oregon, USA. The 263 papers cover the latest developments in all aspects of cryogenic research. Contributions include reports on innovations in: superconductivity applications;superconducting radiofrequency technologies; design, performance, technology, and applications of magnets;the Large Hadron Collider; large-scale systems; mechanisms, machinery, instrumentation, and control; cryoelectronics; cryobiology and medical applications;space, electric power, and transportation applications; thermal and helium properties and mass transport; heat exchangers, cryopumps, heat pipes, and cryocoolers, including regenerative and pulse tube cryocoolers. Some of the articles will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
