The recent commercial introduction of new air conditioning equipment designed to use R410A (a much higher pressure refrigerant than for example R22), has highlighted the importance of using the correct specification for components, pipe work and fittings, and the forming of mechanical and permanent joints, particularly during field installation of these systems.
