Résumé

In transcritical R744 refrigeration system, the flow of refrigerant through a short tube orifice is greatly different from that of a conventional refrigerant such as R134a. A specially designed short tube orifice was used to investigate the two-phase flow inside tube. Experimental results indicated that choked flow existed in all cases. The location of flashing inception within the tube would move to the exit as the upstream pressure increased.
