Résumé

In addition to absorption chillers, today's natural gas cooling technologies include engine-driven systems in a range of capacities and temperature capabilities suitable for most commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration applications. This article reviews the history of natural gas cooling, describes recent advances in natural gas cooling technology, and characterizes the commercial cooling market and applications.
