Résumé

Low Energy construction methods typically imply that significant cooling loads are introduced. Building simulations as well as experiences from real houses have indicated cooling loads of up to 40 W/m2 in Northern European climatic conditions. The paper reviews measured and simulated results of the cooling loads introduced in nZEB buildings. To meet the cooling loads in a sustainable way it is suggested to use under-floor cooling with a ground heat exchanger as a heat sink. The solution has been implemented and measured using vertical as well as horizontal ground heat exchangers. The results show that such under-floor cooling systems ensure indoor temperatures below 26 °C in all cases regardless of the seasons.
