Résumé

In order to achieve safety in all refrigeration systems, significant work awaits the industry. It must develop technical guidelines to cover the engineering of new technology refrigeration systems, the training of technicians in the use of these technologies, and certification of technicians and inspection of installed systems. Without significant government and industry funding, these programmes will not succeed, and the author would welcome a joint effort, from all industry sectors to resolve these issues.
