Résumé

The paper lists and comments on the general characteristics of the most common freezing point depressant additives used as aqueous solutions. One chart gives the freezing point as a function of the concentration of the additives. Other charts compare these aqueous solutions as to density, viscosity, and thermal conductivity as functions of temperature for concentrations giving the freezing point -25 °C. Below the freezing point, the curves indicate values for ice slurry, as obtained from equations found in earlier studies on ice-slurry properties.
