Résumé

The paper outlines the development of a vapour compression household refrigerator steady-state simulation model which includes component models for a natural draft wire and tube condenser, a plate type evaporator, a capillary tube-suction line heat exchanger, a hermetic reciprocating compressor and an insulated cabinet. The model predictions were compared with measurements made on a 230 litres capacity all refrigerator and a reasonable level of agreement was achieved.
