Résumé

Because the heat rejection process in the transcritical CO2 cycle is in the supercritical region, it is impossible to analyze this cycle and especially to compare it with traditional refrigeration cycles by conventional analysis method based on the same evaporating temperature and condensing temperature. Therefore, a new kind of thermodynamic analysis method called equivalent temperature method is presented. To improve the performance of a transcritical CO2 system and to optimize it for putting into practice quickly, the mathematical model of a transcritical CO2 water-to-water heat pump system with expander is developed. The model is verified and modified by the experimental data and then is used to simulate the system performance. The results show that the inlet temperature and mass flow rate for cooling and chilling water have different impact on the system performance and optimal heat rejection pressure.
