Simulation d'un système de refroidissement solaire intégrant des nanofluides et des composants membranaires dans le refroidisseur à absorption.

Simulation of a solar cooling system using nanofluids and membrane-based components in the absorption chiller.

Résumé

In the present work a solar absorption cooling system is simulated. Main novelty is the use of nanofluids in the absorption chiller that includes membrane-based components in the absorber and desorber. First, correlations available for thermal conductivity, dynamic viscosity, density and specific heat of nanofluids are reviewed and the most appropriate are selected, based on previous studies found in the open literature. Second, nanofluid properties are calculated using volume concentration up to 5% for Al2O3 and carbon nanotubes (CNT) nanoparticles. Finally, the absorption and desorption rates in the membrane-based components are predicted using a validated model and results are compared with those obtained using only H2O-LiBr solution. COP of the absorption chiller is evaluated and global solar COP for the whole facility is obtained. The best improvements respect to the conventional system (without nanoparticles) were obtained when the maximum volume concentration evaluated and CNT nanoparticles are used.
