Résumé

Numerical simulation was conducted for the flow and heat transfer process of the two-phase flow in the duct of the icing wind tunnel, where the temperature of air was low but that of the sprayed water was high to keep the nozzles from freezing. A simplified model based on Lagrangian method was built and solved, which contained the droplet motion, the heat and mass transfer between air and water/ice droplet, and the phase transmission model of water freezing. The mathematical model of single droplet was then extended to the parametric study of the icing cloud through the stochastic tracking method. The droplet size distribution and the liquid water content during the flow process were obtained under different initial conditions. The other cloud parameters and their uniformity were also studied. The method can be beneficial to design the icing wind tunnel or improve the experimental conditions.
