Résumé

Ice slurry is a kind of phase change material widely used in cold storage for air conditioning and refrigeration. This study investigates the phase change process from supercooled water to ice in the supercooling ice slurry generation method based on numerical simulation. A two-phase fluid model was coupled with a population balance model to analyse the temperature variations and distributions in the crystal stimulator. The effects of inlet supercooling degree and velocity on the temperature field are investigated. The results showed that the rotating form of the stimulator can effectively promote the supercooling release. Besides, increasing inlet supercooling leads to a decrease in the temperature field parallel to the inlet temperature. In addition, smaller velocities contribute to a sufficient supercooling release.
