Résumé

An environmental chamber is a kind of important test equipment, which offers a special environment used for the performance test of new materials, new facilities and new systems. In this paper, a cylinder environmental chamber (diameter 8 x 8 m) for the high-voltage equipment test is taken as the research object. The CFD method is adopted to study the distribution of velocity, temperature and humidity in the chamber. On the basis of the numerical modelling, the calculations are made under different boundary conditions starting from original state. The velocity field and temperature distribution are obtained and the influence factors of the humidity field and the time characteristic are analyzed. The effect of the diameter of water droplet, inlet temperature and velocity in environmental chamber was conducted for flow and humidity field. The calculation results indicate that the uniformity of humidity field meliorates with the decreasing of inlet temperature and droplet diameter. The stabilizing time of humidity field in chamber is dependent on the inlet velocity. The humidity field becomes steady more easily with the increasing of inlet velocity. Based on the different flow velocity and droplet diameter, the optimization calculations of the flow and humidity field have been done. Finally, the optimal velocity and droplet diameter are presented under different boundary conditions separately.
