Systèmes frigorifiques entraînés par un moteur : intégration des cycles à absorption et à compression.

Integration of absorption and compression cycles for engine-driven refrigeration systems.

Résumé

By using both the work and waste heat of the diesel engine, an integrated absorption-compression cycle is proposed and analyzed. The performance of this cycle is compared with those of direct-fired absorption and conventional compression cycles. The numerical study indicates that when all the waste heat, including exhaust heat and jacket water heat, are used in addition to the work output, a COP improvement of 54 and 28%, respectively over direct-fired lithium-bromide absorption system and conventional compression system with R22 as the working fluid can be accomplished.
